Lauren Byrne
DDE IB, MB, LAMDA.
Lauren Byrne is a graduate of Studio 10 Dance and Drama (formerly MDDC), Liverpool, UK, and is a Professional Dancer/Teacher.
Lauren graduated with Distinction in both the Performing Arts Course and the Teacher Training course, also gaining her Advanced 2 Certificates in the genres of Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap. She also received Distinctions in her Gold Medal Exams with Lamda for Drama and Musical Theatre.
Lauren is the daughter of Frances Ryan, the Principal of the school, and has grown up in and around the studio. She studied Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap from the age of 5 with Arklow Dance Studios and consistently received Dinstictions and Honours in her dance exams. In college she added Contemporary, National Dance, Jazz, Commerical, Musical Theatre and Drama to the list.
She has appeared in many productions during her time in the UK, playing Mrs Beaver in a production of ‘The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe’ with the Liverpool Youth Ballet Company and the Snow Queen in Liverpool One at the turn on of their Christmas lights. Lauren has also appeared in many Musical Theatre productions such as Seussical the Musical, Legally Blonde, and 9 to 5, to name just a few.
Lauren is delighted to be able to pass on her love and knowledge of Dance to all the students at Arklow and Gorey Dance Studios
